No one does customer service like the Japanese. In fact, hotel chains from around the world send their employees to Japan to learn the art of gracious hospitality. Is it any wonder, then, that Japan has some of the greatest hotels on earth? Sure, you’ll find the real standouts in the big cities like Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, but even the average mid-range hotels in smaller cities are likely to be a far better value and much better maintained than a similar hotels in most other counties. In fact, it’s safe to say that Japanese hotels hit that perfect sweet spot where great prices and wonderful service intersect.
